Superbowl Plans and FOOD

What are you doing today? Who are you rooting for? Who do you think will win? And maybe most importantly, what will you be eating?? :D

We are headed up to a party, and obviously we'll be rooting for Seattle. GO HAWKS! I made Seahawks cupcakes and we're also bringing some yummy bean dip. I can't wait! I love Superbowl parties, even when my team isn't in it.

Re: Superbowl Plans and FOOD

  • I'm so jealous! I love Super Bowl parties. Husband and I are rooting for the broncos, just because we like Peyton manning. We are staying home, by ourselves, and I can't decide if I want subway or KFC.

Last year during the Super Bowl, I was too sick with morning sickness to actually eat food. So I'm pretty excited!
  • Loading the player...
  • My H picked up overtime today, so I will be home alone with the baby. This means I won't watch the Super Bowl. I might flip it on every once and a while to check the score, but that's it. I am a little torn as who I want to win, but I think Peyton is such a great guy so I pick Denver.

  • Having our families over like we do every year. Menu: buffalo chicken cheese balls, cut up hot dogs in BBQ sauce, queso dip with beer bread, mozz sticks, meatball hoagies and chips and dip. And of course beer and wine!

We are going to my parents', it's a tradition. We are bringing "crack bread" which I'm excited to try. We will also have spinach dip, little smokies, chicken wings, and I'm sure more goodies there.

ETA: I don't care who wins, I watch for the commercials. :)

  • We might be having a few people over but my fiance wad organizing that so I don't really know if people are for sure coming and if so, how many people. It's a mystery, lol.

I'm definitely going to make some baked cream cheese wontons with sweet and sour sauce but I'm not sure what else. Probably that Velveeta, salsa, and hamburger dip. And something sweet but I don't know what yet :)
  • We are hangin' at the house, just the three of us. I was raised in CO so GO BRONCOS!!! Dh is making ribs in one crock pot and honey hot wings in the other. I'm seriously spoiled! :D

  • I don't watch football. In fact I didn't even know the Superbowl was on today (I'm lame, I know). But I'm now lying here in a puddle of drool after reading all the yummy food you guys are making. I'd give anything for a plate of nachos right now. To bad I'm dairy free because of DD :(.
  • I don't watch football but I'm down for a gathering with yummy food! I'm making apple dumplings ( pioneer woman) & charleston cheese dip (Trisha yearwood). Will hang out at friends to watch commercials :)

  • MMm you guys are making me hungry. We planned on having a kick ass Super Bowl party but alas, we're still in the hospital so no go. Hubby just went and picked up some chips and salsa and i think we'll order wings or something.
  • I'm not I to football but love watching the commercials. We are having nachos for dinner, just to be festive. Ok, it's just an excuse to have nachos for dinner.

  • We're headed over to my brother's for a party.  I'm going for the food and socialization, not the game.

We're bringing as much hummus as I make with what we have on hand (prolly 2lbs or so) and bringing carrot sticks and superyummy black bean and quinoa tortilla chips from Trader Joes to use as a vehicle to get the hummus in our mouths.

Me too! DH went over to our best friends' apartment (down the block from our place) to watch and I stayed home and threw up.
