On thurs Jan. 23 my sister and I headed to the hospital to start my induction. DS was scheduled to fly in Friday night at midnight so would most likely miss the birth. At 5:30 pm they did my IV in my wrist

super uncomfortable but what can you do. Right before the check my mom got there. They did a check found out I was a -3 station 50% effaced and my cervix was "hard" and 3 cm dilated. They did cytocet and at midnightI was still a 3 but a much softer cervix and 70% effaced. They decided I was far enough along to not need a second round so they were going to let me rest until 5:30 am then start pitocin. I woke 4 times to pee between 12:50 and 4... Pitocin started at 5:30 am as well as gbs+ antibiotics. Contractions got stronger but still manageable, at 8ish I was a 4 and bc of babies heart rate they wanted to break my water to speed things up. By this time mil and SIL arrived for moral support so I had all my ladies with me. They suggested getting my epi b4 bc they figured when my water was broken it would go fast like DS birth. Between 9 am and 10:20 am I got an epi, had my water broken and skyrocketed from a 4 to a 10. At 10:20 I was having horrible amounts of pressure and wanted to push and they made me wait 25 mins for my dr. To get there. That was the worst I was miserable bc of pressure, nausea, lo's heart rate was erratic so we were put on oxygen to help. My ob walked in at 10:45 and I started pushing. Bb girl was sunny side up so dr had to turn her as I was pushing and that was awful. Her heart rate dropped into the 60's range and they brought out the vaccuum in case they needed to get her out quick. Thankfully it wasn't needed bc I pushed like a madwoman an at 10:58am Shaylee Ann was born 6 lbs 1 oz and she is perfect!! DH was on speaker phone with mil so he heard his daughters first cry. DH met his daughter at midnight and it was beautiful:) I will post more pics when I can get to a computer.
