Our last Dr. appt with DS was back in November when he was almost 7 months. He received a few vaccines at that visit but definately not the flu vaccine. Our Pedi didn't mention it and it honestly just never occured to DH and I until recently. Isn't it fairly standard for this to happen at the 6 month appt? Regardless we have a 9 month check in two weeks and will ask about it or request it then, but I was curious what other parents are doing and when you scheduled it? DS has been sick this week anyway so I wouldn't want to schedule it any sooner at this point.

No. Don't plan on giving the flu shot. LO gets what is absolutely necessary and that's it. There are a lot of reasons that I (we) chose not to have it given. Almost 7 months
To each their own! Its a choice that is made by the parent.
Whether it's "necessary" or not, if I can save my daughter any unnecessary pain/sickness, I will!
Absolutely bullshit! False information like this is what's causing epidemics all over the world!
