Do you have the Joovy Big Caboose?

I'm thinking this is the best option for us in the beginning as far as getting out for errands and maybe a walk. Eventually, I will prob get a tripple jogger (we go on a lot of long walks). I have a double jogger now for DD and the boy I have been watching for the past year. Looking for input on this stroller. I have Chicco car seats and DD will be about 23 months when the twins arrive. Feedback? Thanks!

Re: Do you have the Joovy Big Caboose?

  • I have one, but have yet to be able to use it, since my little one is still in the NICU. It's sturdy, but not intended for really bumpy terrain, by no means.
I bought it for the same reasons as you, needing something practical for 3 little ones.
I was able to score one from Craigslist for half price after a few months of searching!
I also intend on purchasing the Caboose Too Rear Seat to transform the platform into a 3rd seat since my duo are huge flight risks when let loose, and so they don't fight as much over who gets the back seat.
It's pretty long, but not too much longer than my Graco Quattro Duo. So, really measure your trunk space and compare that it will be able to fit in your vehicle.
Feel free to PM me if you would like more info!

  • I was not fond of it.  I had one for about 6 months, but ended up selling it because it wasn't worth the effort it took to push it around.  I found that it was very difficult to maneuver, especially in stores and on inclines (I lived at the top of a small hill).

  • Thanks for your feedback. We went and looked at one that I found on Craigslist and didn't like it. DD could not sit on the back part with two infant seats attached, so it won't really work for us. There are no good options out there!!! Ugh
  • argh, I totally didn't think of that problem....
I recall reading threads on this scenario awhile back where quite a few other MoM's recommend different Ride-On attachment boards from a 3rd party manufacturer to hook onto a double stroller, but at 23 months of age, that option may be too mature for your oldest child, maybe not. But you might want to do a Bump or Google search on that topic and see what you come up with. I hope you find a solution that works!
