Hi ladies! I'm finally having some down time, and can do my DD's wonderful birth story.
DD was due 1/16. That day came and went and she was not planning to bless us quite yet. On 1/23, my cervix was still fully closed, but I was thinning out. My midwife scheduled induction for 6pm on 1/26 (41+3).
On 1/25, I started to have contractions, but nothing timeable. The contractions continued on till the next day and we waited till 6pm to go in. When I was checked, I was 4cm dilated and the back labor was horrible. I had hoped for a med-free birth, but I couldn't handle it. I asked for the epidural, but because they were really busy, I had to wait and finally got one 4 and a half hours later! The epidural kicked in and it worked really well. I got to get some rest as I waited to labor on my own. Somewhere during this time, I threw up my dinner and was given zofran. At around 5am, they checked me and I was about a 9cm. They broke my water bag and I went down to 7cm, so we waited. At around 630, it was go time! After almost 2 hours of pushing and throwing up a second time while in labor , she arrived! A healthy baby girl with a head full of hair (which was sticking out of my vagina, while I was pushing) ladies meet Ckylee Grace. 7 lbs 13 ozs, 20.4 inches long. And she has the most chubbier cheeks ever. I never knew this existed, but she is my perfection.
