Heart update!

I posted about a month ago asking if there were other heart mommas in here. We found out that DS had a large VSD (hole) in the lower part of his heart when he was 2 days old . The cardiologist believed it had a very slim chance of closing on its own due to its size. We talked about open heart surgery having to be a possibility in the future.

Fast forward to Wednesday. We went back to the cardiologist for his first echo since he was a week old. The hole CLOSED!!! The cardiologist said the most beautiful thing I've ever heard "he's a healthy baby with a healthy heart"!!! We go back in six months for one more echo and then will be discharged from the cardiologist.

I'm still in shock. Our little miracle! It's so amazing to not have the thought of surgery hanging over our heads!!!
