Hi- just wanted to say thank you for being so amazing the past couple of weeks. I feel so lucky to be part of June '14.
A lot of you may remember I received high AFP blood work results twice and my doctor sent me to a specialist (2 hrs away) for additional scanning of neural tube defects. We went yesterday and from what the sonographer and genetic specialist could see, there is no severe threat of spina bifida present. If there is something wrong, it is minor and not appearing on the scans (@22wks). I opted out of the Amniocentesis bc I did not want to risk (another) miscarriage. Possible infection or my water breaking prematurely was not something I wanted to take a chance with either.
This being said, I am so glad January is over and am praying for better months ahead! My heart goes out to our ladies who have lost their babes. They are on my mind constantly and I am hoping they find peace.
