Seeking helpful tips

I went through my mc yesterday @ 5w 2d. I bleed a lot and lost a lot of strength today. Although the bleeding isn't heavy anymore I still feel nauseated. I'm not concerned to the point where I feel I need to go to the ER but am welcoming any helpful tips. Do I just need to wait it out or is there something i can eat or do to help with it?

I had lunch which helped a bunch with my strength and have been munching on raw almonds. I'm coping well emotionally, but am still hurting as it was the first time my husband and I have even attempted to conceive. It all happened so quick...a week ago I was recording my husbands reaction and today I am feeling empty.

  • After both of my losses I was told to take iron supplements (and a stool softener because the iron with make you constipated). Or you could eat iron rich foods I suppose. Make sure to drink lots of water, and rest.

    BFP #4: 9/10/14 (3w6d) EDD 5/21/15 - natural MC 9/23/14 @ 5w5d

  • Thank you Mara! I'm feeling a lot better today and will definitely make myself drink more water (I drank significantly less than I normally do yesterday). And take my iron supplements. **HugsNLoves**
  • I agree with PP to drink lots of water and get some rest. Try to get in good sources of protein as well. Hope you feel better soon. I'm so sorry for your loss. I miscarried naturally last Sunday. I was 7w5d but there was only a gest sac that measured 5w4d. My bleeding is over and physically I feel fine. I hope this is the case with you soon as well. T&P!

    IUD out 8/29/13 and TTC since then.
    BFP 12/29/13
    Bleeding 1/17/14 with LO showing 10 days smaller.
    NMC 1/26/14

    Continued trying every month. Began seeing RE 7/2014.

    12/2/14 got first Rx for Clomid for following cycle.
    12/3/14 BFP!!!
    No heartbeat at 8w4d. D&C scheduled for Jan 7, 14 

  • I'm so sorry. I know what you're going through. I ended up going to the ER because of blood loss but if your bleeding has led up you should be getting better. Drink orange juice for your blood sugar and spinach for iron or other iron rich foods if possible. Also water and REST!!

    Sorry for your loss. Hang in there. I know today sucks!
  • Thank you so much for all of your advise ladies!! I really appreciate it. (: I am yet feeling better and stronger today. I am just hoping to keep the nausea at bay today and actually get some good food in my system!
