Stupid snow!

Up until now I couldn't care less about the snow, it's winter in Michigan. But my shower is tomorrow and we're expecting a lot of snow again. People have been canceling all day. I don't blame anyone one bit, a baby shower is not worth potentially getting in an accident for, but I'm really nervous the local people won't come either and there will be basically no one there. Rescheduling isn't an option because food is already ordered and my friends and family worked really hard to make this happen, so we'll make the best of it....plus the way this winter is going, who's to say it wouldn't snow again next time.

Ill be excited tomorrow, but I'm just feeling sorry for myself right now. I was so excited for this, I was excited to see everyone, especially family I haven't seen in a long time. Last pregnancy we were planning my shower the day I went into PTL and lost our daughter, so I was so happy to be able to celebrate this LO and having come so far. Just needed to vent, thanks for listening.

Same problem here for me but instead of it being my shower it's my daughters 2nd birthday party. I feel so bad for her.

Weather ruins everything. I'm sorry to hear about this. Just know that people care about you even though they may not be able to get to you.

You could always have a sip n see in March when the baby gets here to rendezvous with those that don't fight the snow.

I'm in Michigan, too. My shower was last Sunday and if you remember, it sucked that day too. 7 people cancelled. I still had a blast! It will be ok

pretty much no avoiding bad weather on shower day this winter. It's crazy.

Michigan here also. Same problem here, my shower is tomorrow. I feel like it can't be worse than earlier this week when I couldn't even leave my house.

Another Michigan gal here to say I feel your pain. I really hope the local people can make it! It looks like the weather isn't going to get too bad (as in this nasty freezing rain/ice part of the storm) until later. Hoping for a really great shower for you!!!

Thanks for letting me have a pity party. I know my number one people will be there and that's the important thing, and that people don't get into wrecks trying to come. Sorry to hear about all of the other Michigan /cold climate ladies the weather is getting in the way for, I guess that's what we get for getting knocked up in June, haha.
