I'm trying to pull out all of DS's gear and of course when I got to the car seat I can't find the infant insert thing. I will keep looking but do you remember it making that much of a difference? DS's head still fell to the side even with it in. I have a baby trend, don't know if it matters, but of course they don't just have a replacement online. I'm wondering if I should really fuss about it?
Oh and I completely forgot until I pulled it out that we needed to change the straps. Just thought I'd throw that out in case any of you had forgotten too.
Yes changing the position, sorry that wasn't clear! Ok I don't think I'm going to worry about it. I now remember rolling up receiving blankets. Maybe that's why we have so many. Thank guys!
I am assuming that it is meant to go between baby and the seat? From what I've read that's a big no no because it can interfere with tightening the straps properly if not made by your car seat manufacturer.

It is approved safe because there is no padding directly behind baby, only surrounding baby.It does not interfere with safety of the car seat and it has been crash tested. if you click the link and read the description of it, it explains all that.

I would only do it if my car seat manufacturer said it was safe. Everything they print (that I've seen) says not to use any other products with it.

Re: STMs+ car seat question
Maybe she means changing the position of the straps to be lower again?
I used rolled up blankets rather than the insert with my last. It worked well!
