BRU registry coupon; how does it work?

I have some items on my registry that I want to buy. I remember a post saying you get a 10% discount a certain amount of weeks before your due date for the leftover items.
Can someone please explain how this works?
Do they automatically send it to you? Is it a code you can also use to make purchases online? How many weeks before EDD do you get it?

    They called me yesterday and told me to expect it in the mail any day now. I'm due March 19. She said the coupon would work once in store and once online.

    Someone posted that if you request the coupon to be printed in store it is 15% off. The mailed one is 10%. I'm due march 12 and haven't gotten the mailed one yet. I checked at my BRU and they said when we're ready to buy, ask for the printed one in store because it'll only be good that day when printed. The mailed one typically comes 3 wks before EDD. However, some ladies got theirs earlier so who knows!

    My suggestion, the day you're going to use it (like in the store), ask for one of scanning guns and do a final walk through of what you want/need, so you don't forget anything. That's what we did last year at BRU and Target. 
    This. And if you download the target app you don't even need to ask for a gun. You can scan to your registry directly from your iPhone. I loved this! DH and I would randomly be in target and see something new we loved and didn't have to walk to the register and get set up each time.

    I got one for 10 percent but if I used my BRU card it was 20. Uhh yes please!

    I was the one that posted. I got mine in the mail for 10%, but we asked to have it printed in the store and it was 15%. Not sure if that is always the case.

    The one that came in the mail here was for 10% and we could use it once in store AND once online- I double checked with customer service. It's helpful if half of your stuff is online available online and the other half is only available in store.

    Eta: Just a "heads up"- some things are excluded from the discount, which is silly. Our cloth diapers and wipes were not eligible.

    I tried this, because I read the same posting. Unfortunately, didn't work, my in store print out was only 10%, same as the one mailed to me.
