New baby in Portales!

We just found out we are 5 weeks pregnant with our first child!  Couldn't be more thrilled!  We live in Portales, so the only option we have for prenatal care is Women's Medical Center in Clovis.  I was just wondering what experiences other people had with them and if ya'll can give me any advise.

    Hi! I'm in Clovis. WMC is okay. It just depends what your expectations and desires are.

    La Casa has an ob or two as well and there are a couple midwives who do home births floating around too.

    Well this will be our first, so I'm not too sure what I want exactly!  I guess just a feeling that they care?  And a little bit of a personal feeling.

    I am in portales also. Now 26 weeks. I really enjoy WMC with the exception of a 1 or 2 dr I dont like their style. But in a small town not much to choose from.

    I don't have advice for you, as our 4 kids are adopted, but I just wanted to say Hi.  I also live in Portales, and it's nice to see other people here who live in the Clovis/Portales area.  Congrats on your pregnancy!

    I also live in Portales and just had my daughter 10 weeks ago.  I had prenatal care at WMC with both of my girls and loved it.  The nurses are especially helpful when you are unsure of something and just need to call and check.
