transverse really? 38 weeks

Well....I had an u/s at 27 weeks..baby was head down. At my appointment just last week (37 weeks) baby was head down and low, doc could feel her head during cervical check. Now....All of the sudden baby is transverse today at my 38 week check? What gives???? I guess I needed to vent and see if anyone else had this happen to them. I have had two successful vaginal deliveries and can't imagine having to have a c-section now!

Totally transverse, or partly? My second was partly transverse till the end. I think after your first, babies tend to drop right before birth too so you should have time.

Thanks ladies! I'm not really sure just how much transverse she is... but the kicks have been in my side, doc said she is nowhere in my pelvis even though she was just last week. And the heartbeat was high in my uterus (near my ribs) not low. So my doc felt certain this is what is going on and scheduled me for an u/s next week.
