Wow!!!! (NBR)

So DH and I got a package today from Amazon with a big screen kindle fire HDX with 4G LTE. There was no packing slip so we have absolutely no clue who sent it. At first we thought my parents but my dad said they didn't. Whomever bought it spent way too much money!!! I wish I could thank the person who sent it for their extreme generosity!

Yeah - it just got better too! For the last few weeks I've been asking DH to take me to PF Changs bc I love their hot and sour soup and want some. He hates the location bc of bad traffic so has been dragging his feet. DH came in and said he just opened the Christmas gift from his boss (don't ask me why it took this long!). Yep, $50 gift card to PF Changs! I'm gonna be getting me some hot and sour soup for lunch tomorrow!!!

Well snap! Good luck has already run out! Just printed out my W2 and DH and I discovered that for some godforsaken reason my company hasn't been withholding federal tax from my paycheck! State is taken out but not federal!!! We now owe over $2k to the Feds!!!!!!!!!! Heads are gonna roll Monday! Granted, I probably should've looked at a pay stub during the year but I honestly don't ever think about these things and I have direct deposit so I don't physically ever get a pay stub and everything is online. DH is pissed!!! There honestly is no reason that federal tax shouldn't have been withheld from my check. Oy Vey!!!!

Yep. I'll deal with the tax issue Monday. Luckily I sit right next to the payroll person so I know her well. It is totally my fault for not looking at my pay stubs though. Just have to fix it for next year. We will be alright though - thank god for other deductions!

Regarding PF Changs - is it sad I'm way more excited about that then the Kindle??? @caseanddave - feel free to join us! $50 will be more than we can use just the two of us!

Just received a call from a good family friend - he forgot to change shipping address when he ordered himself a new Kindle (they had sent us a baby gift from Amazon). So I will mail him his Kindle tomorrow...DH is disappointed. Glad I didn't let him open the box!

Ugh I owe on my taxes too! I had taxes taken out of my regular checks, but not my on-call or bonus checks. I knew this. I was happy with my money throughout the year, and thought I would owe some back at the end. I'm a little annoyed with how much I owe though.
