Today, I met a little girl named Ellia (Ell-E-Uh) and maybe shame on me, but I like it . Will just have to stay on the GP list for awhile .

Ellia is a GP name for me, too.

I've done some research on it, and it seems to be a different spelling of the male name Elia (Italian and Dutch form of Elijah according to behindthename.com).

I would never use it, but I like the sound.

I had an Elia as a co-worker. Love the name, could not stand the woman. I'd use it if it didn't remind me of her.

It's not horrible, but I am just so over all names "El" -- I am honestly even re-thinking Elizabeth.

Elizabeth goes so well with Josephine though.

I still love Eleanor, but the Elle/Ellie/Ella thing is a bit of a downer. I would always call her Eleanor, but I'm sure that her peers would eventually use one of those nicknames.
