Congratulations to @lizrn1975 on the birth of sweet baby Joshua!! Looking forward to updates Liz, all the best to you and your new family.

Doing well over here. 38 weeks on Sunday! Getting excited, nervous, anxious, you name it! I wish I knew the date, envy women with scheduled c for this reason! Have weekly bpp, nst, and internal cervix checks. Still closed but they did comment that he is head down and pretty low in my pelvis. Didn't use the word engaged, just low. She also mentioned I am on the high side of normal for fluid, so I see her Monday and have a bunch of questions now that I made the mistake of googling, I think my fluid was 24cm and polidydraminos starts around 25. Trying not to be nervous,

Qotw: nesting hard, me and the hubs. I needed the baby room painted and a closet built...he turned this into a major project and did all kinds of other stuff. Our house is a disaster! Hoping its done next week.

Can I join? I'm having a hard time believing this, but I'll be 28 weeks tomorrow with a due date of 4/26. We are having a girl! We had our 28 week appointment yesterday and all is well. My OB ran our first NST, and baby girl is fine. She is having me come in every two weeks until 36 weeks, then weekly (and weekly NSTs) since I'm high risk due to my age and loss history (I guess stillbirth is more common with several losses). Feeling pretty good overall, but achey and tired a lot.

We have been having our basement finished for the past few months and our house is also a disaster area! Once it's done, we can move furniture down there out of the guest room - soon to be nursery - and start working on the nursery. I'm also slowly working on a big cross-stitch project that will hopefully be part of a baby blanket, if I can ever finish it! So we are starting to nest a bit!

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm!
Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

  • High five, due date buddy!

38w on Sunday too. Exciting news: On Weds had an NST, looks super normal. Bean is at a -2 station, 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. Then I lost part of or some of or all of my mucous plug yesterday! Also had either some major BH contractions or mild regular contractions yesterday.

Having troubs figuring out which is which, contraction wise. Yesterday's were enough to stop me in my tracks but not enough that I couldn't talk. They continued while I was seated but weren't in any kind of pattern.

Still feeling pretty good. Not having much swelling at all and having a good amount of energy. Feeling tired in the mornings as I've been sleeping much better lately (besides getting up several times to pee).

    Can't believe we're so close!

We've got another growth ultrasound on Tuesday and another NST and doc appt on Wednesday.

Happy that it's finally and officially February, tomorrow!

  • Yikes, I'm next up and going to be a mommy by this time on Monday!  Last weekend as a twosome!

39 weeks today and had a cervical exam this morning that showed absolutely no labor progress at all, so OB scheduled me to have a C/S on Monday morning.  We agreed that it was too risky to leave LO cooking any longer since he's got to be 9-10 lbs by now and we don't want him getting stuck on the way out.  It feels like such a shock to be given a real date, especially when it's so soon, but on the other hand it is a huge relief to know.

QOTW: Thank goodness I planned all my last minute things to get done this week (just in case).  Got my "mommy haircut" yesterday to give a few inches of boob clearance (don't want LO grabbing hair while bf), had a handyman finish hanging up shelving and wall decor in the nursery and set up the video monitor, hired a new cleaning service who made everything spotless and DH and I passed car seat installation inspection.

I can't help but feel like I'm still missing a few things or need to set something else up, so my mom is going to take me out to BRU and BBB tomorrow to get in the last round of returns and purchases.

  • I am 34 weeks today. Nothing new to report here. I did start packing some stuff in my hospital bag just in case. I also made these postpartum frozen pads I found on pintrest, there supposed to be amazing after a vaginal birth.

As for nesting I haven't gone to crazy yet. I am just trying to get my postpartum supplies stocked up and will soon be making some freezer meals. As for scrubbing the house floor to ceiling that will be done closer to my due date.

  • Hi all! So crazy to be moving up toward the top of the list!!

We had what will probably be our last u/s this past Tuesday, and it went really well. Based on our last measurement, OB was expecting him to measure ~5lb8oz, but he's apparently 6lb14oz!!! . He'd been measuring ~50th percentile, and now we're up to ~73 percentile. Overall everything is going great. :)

QOTW: I had my last shower this past weekend, so I'm in full-on clean-and-organize mode! We still have a few projects in the nursery (hanging baby-safe window treatments, putting everything in its place, etc.) and a few projects in what will be the his bathroom (paint, organize, hang new curtains, etc.). So much still left to do!!! But it's fun to see it all coming together. :)

  • QOTW: I have been feeling a strong urge to organize! We actually have a huge remodel project that will be starting soon...it should've started in January. The nursery is pretty much complete. I am 35 weeks!! Just 35 days to go. I got my GBS test today but won't know results until my next appointment. After my next appointment I start going weekly.

  • Hi all!  30 weeks today and feeling pretty good. Definitely getting uncomfortable but I know I'm only going to get bigger.  Have my 32w appt in 2 weeks and the OB wants to do a growth scan. Nothing else of note which I guess is a good thing!

QOTW: Me and DH have been in nesting mode for a while.  The nursery is all done, but still haven't had my baby showers yet so not too much "stuff" in there yet other than the furniture.  We have been purging throughout the house and our biggest project has been our garage.  We basically fill our trash/recycle bins every week.

  • Hi! Can I please be added- can't believe I am here! I am due on 4/26/14 and expecting a boy. I am 28 weeks and start my two week appointments on Monday. I have a single umbilical artery so my MFM told me ask about twice weekly NST to see if they recommend it for me. I just failed my 1 hour glucose so I am feeling like a mess between the 2 issues- hopefully I can pass the 3 hour.

QOTD. Hardly nesting. We started clearing out the nursery but really need to get it together. My husband has been nesting though. He is fixing up a room that we gutted when we moved in out house last year and will start on the nursery next. He wants to do a mural and is really getting into it... Whereas, I just want it done so we can start putting things away!

Congrats to @allisen86! I hope Michael has a quick stay in the NICU and continues to do well! What a surprise though!

  • Congrats to the ladies with new babies!
I am 35 weeks - I can't believe we're only 5 weeks away from meeting our little girl! We've had a ton going on lately.  DH had knee surgery then ended up in the hospital because of the side effects from the pain meds.  He is doing much better now.  The same day he went to the hospital, I was rear ended (not very hard) but had to go to L&D to get LO checked out.  Luckily, she is just fine.
Our addition on our home is almost done and we finally were able to access the nursery this weekend.  It's painted yellow and we are planning a jungle animal theme.
I am majorly nesting and am so happy I can finally get going in the nursery.  I also feel a big need to clean, but with the work still going on in the house, every time I clean it just gets messy and dusty again right away.  Once they are done, I hope to really get a good cleaning in!
