Sorry this is going to be a P&R for me right now. I can't wait to follow up later today to see how everyone did this week. xo!

@carlsonbaby2014 Thanks for running the check-in! How are you this week?
I didn't have a great week - just kind of in an "I don't care" mode. I ate not so great stuff (though dark chocolate is supposed to be good for you...) and skipped 3 workouts this week... but the 1 workout I did on Wednesday was killer and I'm still sore today from it! I've got to do that workout again today and then run I think 4 miles tomorrow.
((hugs)) to all you ladies!

Hey @carsonbaby2014, thanks for the check in. How are you, love?
AFM: I did not get any workouts in this week. Mostly b/c of the weather, our state shut down for three whole days. It's finally supposed to be nice out today so I am going to run today and tomorrow. I did well on eating, although, I was crap about logging it in MFP. Sigh* I suck so bad at doing that. I can tell that I have lost some inches as my thighs are not touching in the usual places, lol. I am happy about that!
My week was so/so. I did not do too well with sticking to my calorie limits each day and I didn't track everything... That will be a good goal going into next week. (AF showed up today, right on track according to all the junk I"ve been craving this week) I did work out three days this week though and did pretty well getting in my fitbit steps. I had a record high for myself yesterday of just over 20K steps. It's so funny because there are people on fitbit (like you ladies and MH) who I only want to cheer on and who I feel so proud of when you get a lot of steps. And then there are people like my BIL and SIL and all that I want is to beat them every day lol.
@MoreThanSparrows08. The important part isn't the falling down, it's the getting back up that matters Way to dust off and keep going forward!
For me personally, the week was pretty hard. I am starting to enter the diet stage where I'm like 'I'm bored of diet foods, and I look better anyway". Really keeping myself under a tight lock while I get through it.
I'm also adding salt reduction to my lifestyle changes list. Tonight I'll be getting Morton Lite or a complete substitute, and I'm replacing all the salt in our shakers.
Also, not health related, but I just found out that I am being groomed for a higher position at my job. This is major league miracle stuff, because for three years my careeer stagnated due to an ex boss (how to say this super mildly..) didn't... um... like me?
My new boss appreciates me and is personally going to vet me to the area of my dreams. I am trying not to cry at the office, I'm so relieved.
Oh, I almost forgot! My doc called me this week with bloodwork results, and my liver and kidneys are aces! I am so relieved, because for a year I rode them hard with painkillers and alcohol due to my back. I now officially have no reason physically to hold off TTC.
ETA: I am kinda worried that a truck is gonna hit me to even out all this good karma, but screw it, I'm burning my weekly alcohol alliwance on champaigne tonight!
Hi ladies. I definitely did better this week than last week. It was very icy earlier this week so we did a workout at home for lower body strength. We also did some cardio and ab work along with it. Then we went to the gym Wednesday night and I worked really hard. DH is still sick and he wanted to leave 5 minutes early, but I made him wait until I finished. Didn't want to cheat even a little. We did have to skip our last night because we had a winter storm come in around 5. We should go to the gym either today or tomorrow. Eating wise, I think I did pretty well. I'm having trouble keeping my sodium and sugar within the limits MFP has set for me, but I'm doing very well with carbs, fats, and overall calories. Guess I gotta keep trying to figure out how to keep things in the right proportions.
Hello ladies!!! Happy
Friday afternoon! It is absolutely
gorgeous out – I went out to get some stuff done and I really wanted to just
drive around with the windows open for the rest of the day. Anyways – back to reality…
I feel good about this week.
The scale was super mean to me (like it went up 5 lbs almost) but I
consulted with my friend who is a certified trainer and we both believe that it
was due to water retention in my muscles so I’m hoping that there is a big difference
next week. In spite of the scale letting
me down – I managed to get 4 workouts in so far this week and I’m hoping for a
5th tomorrow or Sunday. I
also managed to keep track of everything I am eating and most days so far were
at or below my calorie goal (I even tracked the loaded fries I had yesterday).
@morethansparrows08 It’s ok – we all have those weeks. The important thing is to pick yourself up
and start today with making good decisions even if you only make one good choice
today – it is better than nothing. And I
say that if you get the workout in, then you are golden J
@hawkward Yay for the weight loss! I hope that your thyroid is back to normal
now!
@catemitty ((hugs)) Congratulations on taking the time to
walk a few times this week – that’s more than I did post-loss. I look forward to having you back on Monday!
@megrae12 Yay for losing inches! I feel like I would need to lose a foot of
inches before my thighs started to not touch J I find it is hard to concentrate on eating well
and keeping track of it – I had to do it one week at a time. Once I got my eating in check, I then added
in journaling everything, and then once that was good, I added in exercise, and
next week I’ll add in abs.
@5895woltera Way to go on the exercise and the fitbit
steps! And I totally hear you on wanting
to help certain people and wanting to beat certain people J
@MoreThanSparrows08 - hi love! Sorry you didn't have a great week. Sending you ((((hugs)))). Sounds like you've got a good plan to get back on track.
@Hawkward - yay for the weight loss!!! You are on fire, woman .
@catemitty - all my love and ((((hugs)))) lady. Enjoy your weekend and be extra kind to yourself.
@megrae12 - hello lovely!! Sorry about the weather I wish we could take some of it for you guys! Love the update about seeing progress though!!! Xo!!
5895WolterA - sorry about AF! I love it that you want to "beat" your BIL and SIL with steps every day - I say go for it !!!!
@Tablefor5 - glad you have a good plan lady . Have you tested out the spin bike yet?
@Peledreamsofrain - hooray!!!!! That's awesome news about your position at work!!!! I'm doing a happy dance for you!!! And way to recognize the motivation plateau and address it head on. I really like your plan to keep yourself under a tight lock until it passes .
@Megdowntheshore - nice job with the workouts and don't feel bad about eating junk at the potluck - that's like why they exist!!
@classicstar28 - way to go, lady!!! I love it that you made YH wait for you so that you could get your full workout in .
@peggels24 - good news all around!!! I love it!! Way to be on top of the workouts and tracking efforts. I definitely need to take notes from you .
@HollynLeana - awesome. One rough day is no biggie way to keep the big picture in mind and work on getting back to it .
************************** You ladies are seriously incredible. I'm so motivated and inspired by each of you every week!!
Now the Carlson report: I completed my 80% of my goals. I worked out Monday, Tuesday (back-to-back classes), took Wednesday off, did my "fit test" with insanity on Thursday morning, but rested on Friday instead of working out. I also rested this morning instead of hitting the gym. I did have a salad a day and was conscious of portions. But....I need to beget better about tracking my food and workouts in MFP. Doing this will allow me to see where I'm over-indulging and help me plan meals better so that my days, sodium, sugar, etc. levels can be more balanced. Also, I need to workout today so MH and I have planned a gnarly hike that will take a few hours. This is especially important to do today because the superbowl is tomorrow and u fully intend on being able to eat and drink whatever I want . Something tells me skittles will be involved .

I havent really been doing good this week.... between the snow and the cold temps (we're below, below zero here) I haven't done much but go to work and come home. I'm white knuckled on the road to and from work...my anxiety over ice cant handle much more driving. So....no gym and running out of food over here, LOL

May I join you? I can use some accountability/ support! I just started using the elliptical in my living room again. So I determined 15 minute minimum. Daily. Its been every other day 2 times this week. Due again today but the second time was so much better, I am sure I can add more time as long as I plan for it.
