High-Risk Pregnancy

*** Friday Bedrest Check-in ***

Hello ladies!!

How did you sleep?

Any new pregnancy symptoms, cravings, or aversions?

Upcoming appointments, milestones, or updates? (Ticker change?)

QOTD: Are you active on any other boards here on the bump? Which ones? Any favorites? Are there any other parenting/pregnancy communities (online or elsewhere) that you participate in?

Re: *** Friday Bedrest Check-in ***

  • I finally feel like I had a good night's rest, still got up to go to the rr a few times but the sleep was much better.

I've noticed more swelling today and last night my arm kept falling asleep, but other I feel pretty good today

Still counting down the days until our next ultrasound on Feb 11th.

QOTD: I first started out on the Loss board and it was really helpful to connect with some of the ladies that knew what it was like to have a late pregnancy loss. During my second pregnancy I didn't really participate at all, but then I ended up back on the Loss board:( This time around I've been here (high risk) and the PgAL board. I've posted some stuff on my BMB (apr14) but sometimes you never know what you're going to get over there. There are some lovely, supportive ladies there but there's also this weird vibe, like you can't really tell when the group will be supportive or attack. Plus it's kinda hard to keep up with so many posts!!

  • I need sleep but my nurse is coming by for my shot this afternoon and I don't want to get into my pajamas for a nap and then back into my street clothes for the nurse. So... Sleep will wait. Or I'll doze off in my street clothes.

Had my OB appt this morning. Everything looks great from the outside (MFM says no cervical checks unless he does them or they're medically necessary) baby kicking, blood pressure down to a healthy level, lost weight (obese so that's not a concern). Doc wants the MFM to check the cervix next week though and if its gotten any worse they'll start discussing hospital bed rest. Yuck.

Qotw: I'm active on my BMB, hang out here, and poke my head in rarely on PAIF. I haunt the Tri boards for laughs.

Off the bump, I just keep up with a baby/kids thread on a private gamer forum. Been with those guys for years :)

  • Worst night of sleep ever :( I was pretty much up every hour because of needing to use the bathroom or with sharp cervix pain ( anyone else have that?)
Needless to say I was not the sweetest person to my BF before he left for work this morning, I'm hoping I can get a good long nap in this morning.

No appointments till next week which I am actually looking forward to since I physically haven't seen my OB in weeks due to having to do meet and greets with the other Drs in the practice.

No new aversions or cravings.. Like I said above I have been having super sharp super intense cervical pains. Im assuming it's because my LO's head is literally on my cervix but when it happens it's unbearable. Could this be dilation pain?

QOTD: I was mostly hanging out on my BMB and posted occasionally, but the other women on there are so unpredictable. They'll either be supportive or bite your head off. So hopefully everyone is okay with me hanging out here instead :) you ladies are so friendly!!
  • @ThereBeDragons I'm glad you had a good appointment today, hopefully you can stay away from hospital bedrest

@Ashley22089 if you're in that much pain I would just give the Dr a call to see what they think it might be or if they think you should go in for a check up

  • Slept ok, was super grumpy with DS/DH when DS woke up crying at 12:30am. He needed ibuprofen and settled afterwards but dealing with him woke baby up and made me start to contract like crazy. Things settled down after 20-30mins and then I slept through till 7am.

I just had PB/honey drizzle toast and it was heavenly... making me want more!

Next appts are Weds with the nutritionist for my fasting glucose of 98 on my 3hr and rhogam. They're probably going to want me to check sugars for a week. Not excited but hopeful they will be ok since the rest of my 3hr numbers were fine. My guess is that bedrest isn't helping my insulin resistance!

QOTD: I'm most active on a FB group of preemie mommas from my days on the preemie board. I've been with that group for over 2 years and love it! I've just gotten active on the bump again since being on BR. I'm posting on A14 some, here and the preemie board again for their pregnant after a preemie check ins.
