Starting young??

So DD got her first tooth last week. Yesterday while nursing she somehow managed to bite (scrape?) my nipple with her one tooth. It hurt!!! My initial reaction was to yell "ouch! No". More out of shock than anything. My little girl looked up at me with her silly gummy one toothed smile and laughed in my face! Good thing she's so cute!

    I've been told by btdt moms that shouting ouch or no the first time they bite is key to training them not to do it again. Don't know if it's true and not looking forward to finding out!

    DD bit down with her gums and I yelled "ow" and pulled her off and she smiled too...I tried not to laugh but she's just so cute.

    Dd has 2 teeth and I think is teething again. She regularly bites at the end of nursing and I jump and holler out every time. I keep my thumb near the corner of her mouth so I can pull out quickly when she slows down. It hurts like crazy and is even worse in the middle of the night when you're sleepy. Not looking forward to the two top teeth because then apparently it feels like your nipple is being stapled. Ugh
