My LO will b 6 weeks on Monday. I feed her on demand. The last few days she's been sleeping about 5 hours between feedings. Is this too long? Should I wake her after 4? Tia
Good job to your LO! My pediatrician said that if LO is past 2 wks and past birth weight (and still gaining) and peering enough (6-8 diapers/day) to let him sleep!
@marybb77 my ds is 6w1d, and we let him sleep as long as he will at night. We get some 4-5 hour stretches also. Woot woot! During the day I feed him on demand or every 3 ish hours. Whichever comes first.

This. We got our first 5-6 hour stretch of sleep last night and it was awesome, check with your pediatrician but as long as your LO is back at birth weight and gaining well, sleep.
@jblank03 & @gina0485 if it makes you feel any better DD ate every 1.5-2.5 hours yesterday and refused to be put down. I see her long stretch of sleep as a reward for dealing with all that especially since DH went out with a friend after work and was home later than usual.
My LO is three weeks old and past his birth weight so I let him sleep and feed him when he wakes during the night. Which is usually every 2-3 hours. During the day, I feed on demand and it's usually between 2-3 hours depending how fussy he is.
@jessiejam at 4 days old I would wake every 2 hours. My LO was very sleepy those first 2 weeks and would sleep through feeds if I didn't wake him up. (The jaundice didn't help either).

I wouldn't dare wake him if he was going 4-5
