Newbie Intro

Hi everyone!! I am finally out of lurkdom after a few months lol We got our bfp December 30th after 4 years of wanting and just "not trying to prevent" we are thrilled! We had our first ultrasound Tuesday and baby measures 8wks4days and had a strong heartbeat of 172. Unfortunately, our day was overshadowed by the discovery if a 19cm ovarian cyst that will have to be removed in four weeks. I am so nervous about this more for the safety of baby during surgery than myself. If anyone has any advice/experiance please share!

Some other stuff: DH and I are both 25 and have been married 5yrs. We have a yorkie named Moe and DH baby talks him more that I do. I am not a Hitler over grammer and I know mine sucks :) nice to meet you all I can't wait to finally be an active member of the board!

    But good you can admit the hypocrisy.

    Welcome and congrats. We got our BFP the same day. Good luck with the cyst ... I think 4 weeks will give baby enough time to get cozy and comfy before the removal and will come out unscathed!

    Yes it true I also suck at spelling it seems. I am mobile and my phone literally sucks (sorry excuse I know) I also noticed I put *more that rather than *more than. Oh well English is hard :)

    I have 2 pretty big cysts on my right ovary and she didn't say anything about removing them? ? The baby sounds perfect! !

    Welcome and congrats on your little one! I will keep your surgery in mind and say some prayers. Glad to have another September Mommy here :) Edited because iPad typing. Ugh.

    Thanks everyone for the welcome and well wishes. I go to the gyn surgeon today for more info. Based on phone calls with the Dr. Tuesday they believe it is not cancerous and is filled with clear fluid. The concern is its size and that it would likely burst as baby grows if I left it. They are impressed that I am not in extreme pain but as long as I am not it will stay until 2nd tri.
    Karin97 how large are yours? I had read they didn't worry about them as much during pregnancy if they were under 9cm. I don't know I have Dr. Googled this to death lol
