Hello! My little girls birthday is just around the corner and im trying
to plan a small party for her. I dont want to have it at a house, so im
looking for somewhere to have it. Where did you have your little ones
first birthday?
Look into local parks, especially if they have a clubhouse you can rent (though this can get pricey) or maybe Chuck E Cheese or some other playhouse type place? DH and I are having our parents and siblings over for a dinner and cake for DD's 1st bday. If we started inviting people it would be insane with the amount of family we have (my list was at 90 people) and we don't want to spend that much on the birthday she most certainly won't remember.
We live in a large complex of townhouses. We're using the "great room" that they rent out inside the main clubhouse where the management office is held.
Google "event rental" for your town/city and you'll be surprised at the places that pop up.
My area has indoor bounce houses and a chuckee cheese. I was considering having it at the bounce house since my LO has alot of cousins that would like to play as well.
We are doing the party in a private room in one of my favorite restaurants. It is actually cheaper to do the party there then at home. The package includes hot appetizers, salad and an assortment of pizzas and beer/wine and soda, coffee, tea etc. For $19pp. I just have to bring the cake/dessert. And the restaurant is all decked out in a "lodge" that goes with our "Woodland" theme so I don't have to decorate much at all.
