Still using exersaucer?

I am trying to decide if its time to part with this. We don't seem to use it as much anymore but I don't know if I would miss it. I borrowed it from a friend and I'm driving 2 hours Friday to see her and I'm temped to return it to her, but worry I might miss it. LO crawls like mad and stands on everything so she is probably done with it but wondering if I am jumping the gun.

Re: Still using exersaucer?

  • We have a jumperoo and its the only thing we can put him in if we need him to stay in one spot safely. I cant leave the family room for long at all otherwise. I wouldn't be able to do without it right now.

  • ^this too. We also put her in it to eat dinner sometimes.

  • I still use our ExerSaucer all the time. It's the only way I get things done at times. Mine turns into an activity table as well (although I've never needed that feature).

  • We have a jumperoo and it's definitely not a daily use item anymore. PP's made a valid point about it being a safe, stationary place to keep LO if you need a few minutes.

How often do you see the friend? If you're going to see her agan in 2-3 months, I'd hold onto it till then. If it's going to over 6 months before you plan to see her again, I'd probably return it now.

  • Typically about 4-5 since LO hates her carseat traveling isn't fun. I'm on the fence. It's big and bulky so in some ways it would be good to get rid of if its not needed although it is a good point that its a safe spot.

  • I only put DS in his when I need/want to have a shower when DH is not home.  Otherwise it goes unused. Honestly I think he is getting way too heavy for it because he can make it lean quite far (the platform never lifts from the floor).

  • My parents had one for DS, but he outgrew it (too tall). We still use the bouncer we have at home all the time!

  • We have both an exersaucer and jumperoo. Like PPs i like it for when i need to do something and need to know he'll be in one, safe spot. He isnt always a fan, but sometimes i get a little time for him to safely play.
  • We still use ours daily, but LO can't crawl yet. I imagine once she can she won't enjoy it as much. If I need to put her somewhere safe so I can do something, I go back and forth between that and the pack and play.

  • we have both a jumperoo and an exersaucer and we use the exersaucer daily. We usually stick her in it in the mornings while we get ready for work. She's really small though so we're nowhere near the weight/height limit or anything for it. I think we're gonna be using it till she's like 2...
