Is any ladies on this board taking it?

  • I'm taking it on my own, after lots of research, tons of help from ladies here, and discussions with my pharmacist. I'm only doing 200 mg per day, I could probably do more based on what I see others doing, but I'm leery of going overboard when it hasn't specifically been recommended by my doctor. I've been doing it for just about three months now.

  • I took it all last year, not reccomended by my RE. I took about 6-800 mg daily. I may have been making this up but I quit taking it because it seemed like my O kept happening later and I had less fertile CM than during the month that I took a break from CoQ10.
Not sure if its coincidence or difference in labs but my FSH went from 6.4 to 4.2 within the last year. Maybe thats a normal fluctuation...not too sure

    4 Losses (2003, 2008, Apr 2012, & Oct 2012)
All RPL and IF testing with multiple REs = normal

  • I take 300mg ubiquinol daily, have been for 3 months now. I asked my RE and she said it wouldn't hurt anything so was fine to take.

    Baby boy arrived 11/13/14!

  • I took it for my 3rd and 4th completed IVF cycles. While my 3rd cycle technically was a better result compared to the first two, it wasn't successful. I was however, taking DHEA and a lot of other things I later found out could have been damaging the egg quality so I dont think the CoQ10 was to blame. In my 4th cycle though, I had a TOTALLY better result and was able to finally get some frosties when I then got pregnant from (had OHSS from the fresh cycle). I'm not going to say it was only the CoQ10 but I think it helped and if I do another fresh, I'd take it again!

Until a BFP, it takes 3 months of daily doses to have an impact though.

  • I take 300mg (100 x 3 per day) per my RE. What he explained was that it helps provide energy to the eggs at the mitochondrial level and this helps the egg divide properly - which can be an issue with AMA patients since "old" eggs tend to get sluggish at this step.

I've been taking it since May and have noticed zero changes to my cycle/CM since taking it that I would attribute to the CoQ10. Since it does not work on a hormonal level like many other supplements, this makes sense. My RE also takes it and has my DH on it for the positive benefits to the heart and blood flow.

  • I'm taking it in Ubiquinol form... I got mine from Costco (Clicky).  I'm taking 2 pills daily so 200mg.  It was a decision I made last week actually - lol.  Since it's been a week I've noticed no impact, but hopefully it will be good.  Haven't discussed with my doc yet.
