Placenta low

in 2nd Trimester
I'm currently 17weeks and just had my ore anatomy u/s. Dr told me placenta is low and we will watch it most likely will need c section if it doesn't move. Anyone else? I'm reading a lot on placenta privia and concerned

    i have one, although not complete. it really does seem like most of them move.

    I have one too. I'll find out in 3 weeks if it's moved or not. Googling it is definitely scary!!

    DD #3 due May 17, 2014!!! Low lying placenta and DD measuring 1 week ahead at big u/s

    I had a low lying placenta discovered at 18 weeks with my first pregnancy and it had moved by the time the dr re-checked it at 22 weeks. She told me that in most cases it resolves on its own.

    I also was told that I have a complete placenta previra at a 16 week ultrasound. They said usually they resolves on their own but to not lift as heavy and pelvic rest. I have my AS ultrasound tomorrow and my doctor wants another in two weeks. Google is definitely scary stay away!

    I have complete placenta previa right now. It should move up and out of the way soon. I had the same with DS. It was diagnosed at 16w and by 20w it had moved up. I expect the same with this one.

    I think your doctor is being a bit premature saying you'll likely need a csection at this point.

    FTM with low-lying placenta too. I was reassured that it will move up in my third trimester. C- section maybe a possibilty and will be monitored with U/S. Stay away from google research, it does you no good and worry you more. Most likely the placenta will move away from cervix as your belly grows. I am happy to get more chances to see the little one more on th U/S visits!

    I was just told today I have a low placenta. 1.4 measurement they want at 2. They didn't seem concerned ad told me to come back at 27 weeks. I am 20 today. She said they did notice at 16 weeks but still not too concerned yet.

    After the US appt I had an appt w my OB. I told him and he was not overly worries either. Will keep an eye on it and if continues no sex. ( not like we have had much anyway since I am so not in the mood) lol
