What are you eating?

Last night my dinner consisted of a homemade fruit smoothie and a few waffle fries (DH made turkey burgers but that stopped sounding good to me once I smelled it!). Pretty much all that appeals is sweet stuff right now, which is weird. I love sweet AND salty on a regular (i.e., non-pregnant) day!

The only thing that I feel like I could eat almost any time is the Giant store brand frozen Greek yogurt in the blueberry or pomegranate flavors. It's smooth and creamy, and goes down easy. Also, clementines are going ok for me.

What are you eating to make it through and get your calories, despite m/s?

  • Unfortunately, mostly carbs. I had an english muffin with peanut butter, a soft pretzel & some soup so far today. Most days is still pretty hard to come close to 1200 cals.

       Me: IR-PCOS, elevated DHEAs, low progesterone, weak ovulation  DH: low volume, low T
    SHG 5/10/13: both tubes blocked; HSG 6/28 = Left tube cleared! Right blocked.
    BFP#1 7/20/13 EDD 3/30/14, m/c 8/19/13, D&E 8/21/13, Chromosomal results = normal, female
    Lap & hysteroscopy scheduled for 10/31, right tube cleared, no endo found! ...Happy Halloween!

  • I've been eating carbs like a fiend. I think I've gained 5 lbs already. I am not happy about this, but I am constantly hungry. My body is processing food in a way I've never experienced. This is craziness!!
  • Cold things-- chickpea salad, veggie sandwiches, cereal; sweet things -- chocolate cake, peppermint bark; bland things -- ramen, chicken strips, perogies. And lots of crackers and ginger ale.
    Not exactly being a nutrition superstar.


     

  • I haven't had any sort of morning sickness yet, but the smell of meats cooking makes me queasy.

    Sadly, carbs is what I keep craving. SO is gone until Monday, so today I caved in and ordered pizza.  I look down at my little bump and feel so guilty.  I should be eating fruits and milk and drinking water... I'm a failure. Lol.


  • I cooked dinner last night for the first time in a month. So mostly a lot of take out and fast food. I had trouble gaining weight with my first, and I have a feeling it will not be difficult this time around.

  • I'm waiting for H at Panera. I want broccoli and cheese soup in a bread bowl. That's the only think I can think that sounds good.

  • For me, the blander and more starchy the better! And if it's salty that's ok too. For some reason I feel like that will absorb stuff???

  • Right now blueberry bagel, green grapes, Jell-O, and green tea. Usually toast though. I'm nauseous all day and things rarely sound good. I'm trying small stuff to at least have something in the tummy seems like it helps the nausea.... was craving biscuits and gravy for three damn days! Got that fix this morning haha
  • Well I was trying to be good, but I stole my son's cheddar goldfish lol


     


  • Today was a good day- I had egg whites and cheese on a bagel (instead of just the straight carbs), a salad (nice and crisp, no dressing), and a chocolate banana milkshake. It's been my best eating day in a couple weeks. Other days, it's ramen, cheddar broccoli rice, goldfish crackers, and lemon water.

  • I have two eggs on a whole wheat English muffin and American cheese for breakfast, Greek yogurt and granola for a snack, lunch is usually soup or salad with a protein, snack is an apple with peanut butter, dinner is up in the air. I usually just kind of pick when I get home and not in a good way - handful of Doritos, today I picked up a beef chalupa from Taco Bell because I've wanted one since yesterday. But now a few of you really have me craving a bagel with cream cheese!!!
  • This morning I had a fruit smoothie with almond milk and protein powder. 2nd breakfast was cottage cheese and crackers. Lunch was a chicken wrap and fruit salad. Afternoon snacks were tangerine and oatmeal. Dinner was ice cream and a veggie burger with cheese.

  • Today I had Greek yogurt with granola and blackberries, hard boiled egg, English muffin with peanut butter, and butternut squash ravioli. I'm having quinoa with mushrooms onion and zucchini for dinner.

    I really want a big bowl of ice cream.

  • Ramen noodles. With a scrambled egg whisked in. It's like... my new crack. Why do I have to choose the least healthy things to be my crack?!  Besides, you know, actual crack.

  • Smoothies. Noodles with butter. 

    Ironically, my favorites don't even sound good right now, and I'm not super sick, just queasy now and then. It's strange because I didn't have many aversions or cravings with my first pregnancy but this time, they've already started.

    Orange juice by the gallon!! Anyone else having that one? Can't get enough of it. Also....Pasta, eggs, toast, peanut butter, smoothies (Shakeology, anyone?)...no morning sickness at all, but I feel hungry from the minute I wake up til I go to bed! Laying here in bed now & hungrrrrryyyyy!!!!!
  • Carbs, carbs, carbs.  I'm eating a ton of cereal, bagels, Jimmy Johns (which I can't afford to keep doing).  Yesterday i was able to stomach some veggies.  I'm also eating a lot of fruit.

  • I usually eat salad every day for lunch, but the thought of it and smell of any type of vinegar or dressing sounds just awful. I don't even know what to eat instead :(
  • Lots of carbs...so many carbs.

  • I eat pretty much everything before it eats me lol. I have a big craving for sweet I have frozen yogart (orange leaf)!! and a coke icee everyday, that's how it was with my first pregnancy and meat makes me sick. So I eat fish and eggs for protein when I want BC its usually sweets..I'm a mess. Then I can eat a huge hamburger after baby, it won't make me sick then.
