paper thin ?

What does it mean when the dr says im 4cm dialted but my cervix is paper thin ? This is my #2 and they said he head is in my pelvis and really really low .

    But I can stay that way for a while until she comes right ? Im 37 weeks idk why it says 38 .

    You could stay that way for a day, a week, a month... No way to tell. It's a good sign that labor is coming, but it could be coming in a day, a week, a month...

    Your doctor was referring to effacement in which case they typically give you a percentage amount of effacement. Paper thin means you are 100% effaced and I've always understood that to mean you are very close to laboring.

    Maybe. I was 100% effaced and 4 cm for over two weeks with DS.
