Could I have missed the signs of O?

I've been taking the ovulation tests at home, morning, midday and night. Still no smiley face and I'm CD13. My cycles range from 24-28 days, so I was expecting to see something by now. 

Am I just being impatient here? Do you think I'm taking the ovulation tests at the wrong time of day by chance?

    The only way to confirm whether or not you ovulated is to track your basal body temperature. Ovulation prediction tests only detect a lutenizing hormone surge. You can have LH surges without ovulation.  

    ETA: Misread the question. . .go with what @slappalicious said.  I have to test 2 or 3 times a day to turn an OPK positive some months.

    Keep testing and remember that cycles can vary month to month.

    Pretty much what these ladies said! Opk's and bbt help you determine along with cm. If it makes you feel better I'm on a 28d cycle right now and I'm not O'ing till cd16-17.

    Thank you! I've monitored my cycle in the past, took a break, and now I'm back. My temp was never very regular, so its hard for me to rely on it. 

    Just need to be patient!
