Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker around here on and off for a few years now. We were recently accepted into a trial for our IVF #1 which is a good thing because we were getting nowhere with saving for it.
I started Desogen BCP on CD4 1/15/14 and we added Doxycycline on 1/23/14. I have been bleeding since 1/24/14. The first day it was light, probably a little more than just spotting, but since then it has been pretty constant. Not as heavy as a regular period, but definitely more than what I would call spotting. Also I have had a few very light cramps. On Monday I am scheduled to go for an HSG and test transfer and I am supposed to start Lupron on Tuesday, but with this bleeding I am now concerned that we're going to have to postpone everything. The nurse didn't seem super concerned, but could not answer my questions about possible postponement and said we'd take a look when I come in on Monday.
Have any of you ever had a consistent bleed on BCP? Google searches show that if you've been off BCPs for a while they can take a while to kick back in. I've been off them since 2003. But as I said, this is a pretty good flow, and more than just spotting.
Any advice would be appreciated and I would love to hear from those of you who have experienced this and gone on to have a successful cycle start.
