Jacksonville Birthing Center

Any moms or moms to be planning on using the birth center in San Marco? If you've given birth before there I'ld love any input! I've read only good things and am seriously considering the water birth. I also like the fact that they offer the open house for you to check it out before you make any serious decisions.

Unfortunately I live at the beach so would be a drive either way.

    Hi! Its so weird that I stumbled upon your post just now, because Iw as coming here to post exactly this. :-). Im actually waiting for a reply to my request for info from them. Im really sorry I cant personal experience, but at least we are not alone. :-). Congrats and GL!

    @hdchafin, I have emailed one of the midwives a few times and am planning on scheduling to go in to one of there open houses. Don't know if you know about that yet, but every other week they have an open house for couples expecting and they'll take you around and show you the place and let you ask any questions, meet the midwives, etc. They limit the amount of couples per week which I think is cool as well. This is FREE too :) They also will schedule a private meeting with you if you prefer for $20 bucks.

    I also asked her about insurance in one of my emails and she said they have worked with many insurance companies including UHC (which I asked about in particular). Just a little extra knowledge I know about it for now. Congrats to you as well and wishing you H&H remaining pregnancy!
