Trying to Get Pregnant

Wondfo v CBE

I want to start using OPKs for this cycle.  I used the FR digital 2 cycles ago and it was spot on but it's expensive.  I was contemplating buying the CBE fertility monitor but I know it's costly as well.  I was just wondering what you ladies thought regarding cheap wondfo OPK strips vs the CBE monitor.  Worth the investment?  I have crazy irregular cycles (32 to 47 days).  Temping does show me ovulation has occurred but I would like to know that I'm gearing up to O as well.  Thanks!

Re: Wondfo v CBE

  • I always used the cheap wondfo OPKs and they worked fine for me. I did get a bad batch of Wanfu OPKs (some sort of knock off wondfo OPKs). They didn't work, but luckily I had a few digi OPKs given to me that I used as a back up.

If your worried about the wondfo OPKs, you could always use them and then confirm with a digi OPK, but it really isn't't necessary.

  • Thanks, ladies!  I was leaning towards the Wondfo's.  I'll try that this cycle.  GL to you all!

  • The monitor isn't real great for long cycles. Depending on when it asks for sticks you could end up maxing out before ever reaching your actual peak fertility. I would do as PP recommended, us the wondfo brand till you start to see a line and then switch to digi to confirm.
This is an option, but I don't even get a hint of a line until shortly before I get a positive, so it wouldn't give me much advance notice.

Another option if you're interested in the monitor is to try the CBE Advanced digital opks for a cycle and see how you like it.

  • I tried using Wondfos and they didn't work for me. I must have alot of LH in my system, because every one I took looked close to positive. I used the CB Digital (not advanced) this cycle and I got one false positive early in my cycle and then two correct positives later on (when I typically O), so I think these worked for me. Because I have a longer cycle, I got the box of 20 and used them all. IMO it was worth the $35.

Same here. Cheapie pink strips no matter the brand show me a positive about CD14 onwards for me. The CB Digitals (no advanced) have been dead on....and they can be used with FMU. Worth it to me....and I use the whole box of 20 everytime (or more) myself.

^^ This! I use the CBE Digital Ovulation Prediction Tests, not the monitor and really like them. Give them a try and see how you feel.
