Cautiously Optimistic...! (warning)

Today I am 8dpo/IUI, 9dpt. I have been testing out my trigger (Pregnyl hCG, 10,000 IU) from 1dpo/IUI. It has become significantly lighter over the last few days, finally. This morning, I tested with both a Wondfo/IC and a FRER. I received a shadow on the Wondfo and a light line on the FRER. The line on the FRER was darker than I expected it to be, honestly. I had a nagging feeling all morning, so I went home at lunch to test again.

I tested with a Wondfo, and the line was significantly darker than the line this morning. It was as dark as my test from Friday night.

So, I tested with the FRER, and the line was darker than the line this morning. 

I am freaking out. My RE told me to not test early, which technically I haven't - I'd like to call it a hunch. Anyway, I'm not going to call them until the 14dpo/IUI, which is the day they told me to test. But, I've read that tests getting darker generally means that a pregnancy hCG is being picked up. Which makes complete sense. 

I'll continue to test, and you never know what may happen. But, I think I might have a BFP.

    Yay that's awesome news!! FX for you!!

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    It's still early, but it's the first glimmer of hope I've had. I'm just hoping it continues to get darker.

    Me: 44 - Hashimoto's (under control), DH: 38 - (minor issues)

    IUIs: 2 in 2012 ... Both BFN
    IVF #1: 10/16/13 ... BFP, however it was not viable and ended in an early loss at 7weeks.
    IVF #2: Feb '14 ... Cancelled. Positive beta at baseline appt, became very early loss.
    IVF #2: Apr '    14 ... Retrieval Only. 2 embryos made it to day 3 freeze & will be batched with IVF #3 for PGD testing.
    IVF #3: June '14     ...     Retrieval Only. 4 embryos growing, all arrested before day 5. Two from April thawed, but also arrested.
    Currently benched while determining how to proceed.

    Holy crap!!!!!
    Don't test for a few days then test again to see what happens.
    Are you going betas on 14dpo.
    I'm so happy that so many of our wonderful ladies are getting BFP.

    I'm in that camp too, but I had an hCG trigger shot 10 days ago, have been testing it out. So it could still be the trigger; my tests never went negative. I think I may have jumped the gun, because I'm still getting a light line, nothing darker this morning. I'll test again over the weekend and see what happens!

    I will say that once I still had a trigger at 9dp3dt. It was awful bc I thought it was real..What trigger did you do? If it was ovidrel I think that would be gone by now.

    I used Pregnyl, 10,000IU, so I think it's hard to say-slash-inconclusive at this point. Argh.

    Yeah I had the ovidrel which was out of system by 6-7 dpo...I would skip tomorrow and check Sunday am and pm...my tests are darker sometimes at like 4-5 pm then fmu..I don't know why...

    Yeah, I just tested again, and it was darker than this morning. This morning's test looks negative now (that's how light it is). Now I'm just riding the crazy train. I feel so stupid.

    I'm so sorry for the confusion you're experiencing. ((hugs)) Unfortunately you can't really rely on tests getting darker or lighter, as each test can have differing amounts of dye in it, not to mention your urine can be differently dilute each time you take a test, making a 'progression' either way hard to pinpoint with any accuracy.  I'd strongly advise you to have your H hide your tests for you and wait until the test date your doctor gave you to test again, it's really the only way to be sure you're not still catching the trigger.  Honestly, I don't think waiting will make you any crazier than constantly testing has already done!

    Well I will still keep my FX for you, when is 14po for you? Never look at a pregnancy test after the allotted time specified from the manufacturer, because the dye colors can change.

    3 cycles clomid with Ob,
    1 cycle Tamoxifen with Ob,
    Diagnosed PCOS 11/5/12
    clomid, trigger & timed bd 12/12 BFN
    1st clomid IUI 1/4/13 BFN.
    2nd clomid IUI 2/13 cancelled didn't respond to clomid.
    3/15/13 scheduled laparoscopy & on bcp.

    May 10 IUI from injectibles - BFN 

    May 22 done with interventions it will either happen or it won't. 

    February 2014 No longer actively trying, but not preventing. 

    SURPISE BFP 4/2/2015!!!!!!!!!!

    On42: I don't want to,give you false hope but I wanted to share my story for last week with pee tests. I was distraught that my lies weren't getti g as dark as I thought they should. I was getting a shadow on wondfos and switched to FRER. Clear line there but still didn't get "that" much darker as the week progressed. I then tested out the wondfos after I got my beta. Hardly a line on wondfo but beta was over 100. Another friend who is going thru treatment at the same time as me did the same. Used 2 different wondfos from same pack and one didn't pick up much of a line. Her beta was 249. I simply don't trust these tests that much now. It seems like they aren't putting much dye in them. So a line is still good.
