Ovulating 4+ Days

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about 8 months. We started using ovulation tests about 6 months ago, and every month they have always worked the same - for two days, the line is dark, then it gradually gets lighter after my peak days. This month, however, I have had VERY dark lines for the past 4 days (it could be more than that, as I did not test 5 days ago). Has anyone else had this happen?

    I have not experienced it but other girls here have. I just wanted to point out that the actually act of ovulation is pretty quick. You are not "ovulating for 4 days" but your body has been producing LH to gear up for ovulation for 4 days. Sorry I'm not more help, gl!

    Someone on here posted positive OPKs for 11 days or something crazy. It happens.

    Are you tracking BBT? That is the best way to know when you ovulate. I once had a cycle where I had 11+O tests. LH surge means you're gearing up to O, doesn't mean you have O'd or will - If you're not already using it, check out fertility friend - it's an amazing app/website that will help you learn more about your cycles and help you figure out what's going on inside :)

    I apologize for the title of my post; I'm aware that you cannot ovulate for 4 days straight. I was just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience while testing. Every time I've tested this cycle, the test and control line have been the same dark shade of red. We haven't started tracking BBT yet, but plan on starting to next month, if we weren't lucky this time around... :)

    I just had 5 days of positive OPKs in a row! I finally got a negative OPK, and based on temping, I'm pretty sure I O'd two days ago. I definitely recommend temping. The OPKs just messed with my brain.

    Yes. Last month I had positive OPK's 4 days in a row. This was my first time ever since I have been using them to not have a positive for just 1 day. I just ovulated later last month and my period was 4 days later than around my normal.

    I've had the same experience norm 2 days of + and then cycles with 4/5 days of +, based on other factors CM, Temp it can help pinpoint true O day...

    I've has surges that lasted three or four days. It can happen.
