JFF:Old Wives Tales: Sex Predictions do you dothem?

Since we have to wait till march for our next ultrasound/to find out the sex We have been doing some of the old wives tales. Do you do them or have done them? Were they correct when you found out?

    I do them for fun, but I don't believe them. Didn't know what to answer…

    So far some old wives tales tell me that I'm having a girl and some tell me that I'm having a boy. In my two early ultrasounds (15w and 17w), I was told I was having a boy and then a girl. So I guess they are about as accurate as early ultrasound guesses. ;-)

    I do the ring test, but I have no idea if it's true yet! It's been saying I'm having a boy for the past 2 months...well see!

    I did the ring test as well and it said boy for me! My girlfriend has done it for about 30 people and only been wrong once! We will see if July if she's right or wrong!

    I've done several for fun and did a page in baby book of predictions. So far it's split down the middle; I guess I have to wait for ultrasound next week.

    I did them for DD and half said girl, half said boy. I haven't done any this time yet.

    I have done some of them. The majority of them have said boy. Some of them have said girl. The ring test said boy for this baby and girl for DD.

    Chinese gender and Heart rate worked on my last one. Also the carrying low, but you won't see that before march.

    Chinese gender was all I did with DS and it was correct. We'll see if it's right again!

    5 years TTC, no luck with IUI's, failed IVF June 2013,

    We're finding out the sex next week, but every wives tale says its a boy, but I think it's a girl.

    I just did the ring test for fun and first it when back and forth... and then it started circling. So it's a boy or it's a girl!!1

    Do them just for fun. Although majority say boy...we will confirm that on valentines day (anatomy scan) as well as when the baby is born lol.

    @youreggoispreggo did the same for me but I'm only having one lol. My parents told me it must be done with a gold chain, but I don't have one since I don't like gold lol.

    The Chinese gender chart says boy and the heart rate is running 120s-140s to that means boy as well not to mention my guy also says boy. Guess we will find out Feb 17th.

    Chinese calendar was right for us but everything else was wrong, I eat lots of sour stuff tons of carbs had bad nasuea but never threw up and am having a girl :)

    @hope1017 - same here, just having one! I didn't do a ton of "research" about the string/ring trick so I didn't see the gold part! I did it with a piece of yarn because it was close at hand!

    One of my aunts has been consistent in successfully doing the wedding ring on String test and getting positive results after the u/s. So far she has predicted a boy for my second, so I'm anxiously awaiting Feb. 13th

    @hope1017youreggoispreggo It predicts for all of your children as well as miscarriages not just your current pregnancy. I did mine with a silver necklace I don't think what your ring is hanging from has anything to do with the test!

    just for fun. definitely don't believe them. all of my old wives tales results say boy except heart rate. we will find out in a few weeks :)

    sorry ladies i meant to take the believe part out i defiantly have a problem when i think to fast/ ahead of myself and type what i'm thinking at the same time if that makes sense lol..

    a lotof the old wives tales have said girl for us there are a couple more i wanna try for fun since we have the whole month of feb to wait lol. I'm hoping for a girl Dh/his family believe its 100% a boy so if it is a girl it would be the first girl born in his family in over 5 generations.
