Well, you know, once your baby is weaned, you have way fewer opportunities to bring up breastfeeding. People might judge you as being lazy if they don't know you breastfed. If you've got one of these, it's a conversation starter so you can gloat about what a great parent you are while also proving that your supply was so good that you could waste two ounces of milk on a necklace instead of feeding it to your kid.
S/O of momentos and such, my MIL asked if I cut off some of DD's hair to save. Nope! Do people even do that still?
I was planning to save a clipping from the first hair cut. Is that weird? My mom has mine. Mil even has dh's and I don't think she's even got baby pics of him.

It would be weird if you wore it around your neck.
Putting the clipping in an envelope in the baby book? No weird.
Excellent. My plan was the envelope in the baby book. I try to avoid wearing anything that came off of or out of another human.
Eta that baby wearing is excluded from my prior comment

Does that mean my umbilical cord bracelet is weird???
Unlike some people, I've learned not to judge others for their parenting decisions. Just because *I* wouldn't wear it, doesn't mean you shouldn't rock your baby's cord
36$ for this? I've got several shirts that have permanent breast milk stains on them that would equal this. And to add the olfactory memory trigger, if I don't wash any of my nursing tops I could even preserve the smell of soured milk spit up.

Not weird at all but NMS. I think my mom may have a clipping of my hair too. I plan to keep her going home outfit or something like that.
Re: Whaaaaat?!
Right, because that's important here. Weird
