Keep or toss?

I steamed a couple chopped up apples this morning and then forgot about it and left them in the steamer (which turned off when they were done) for 3 hours. Do I have to toss them? TIA

    I think they'd be fine. An apple pie keeps at room temperature for a good few days, that has cooked apples in it....?

    Thanks! They're not too mushy and they taste fine to me, but I always second guess myself.
