Membrane sweep today!

Had a membrane sweep today at my weekly visit (should add that I am actually 39 weeks today, ticker is off) and am hoping something starts soon... So done being pregnant. It worked with my son, so fingers are crossed it does this time, too, although i know it only works if your body is ready. Anyone else in this boat?

    Good Luck! With all the other things doctors do to try and get things moving I think I would rather this.

    I had my membranes scraped 2 times (@ 38 & 39) weeks with DS and nothing happened. Good luck though!

    Had mine stripped Monday at 4pm. Had strong contractions all day yesterday, every 3-6 minutes and then they stopped last night...

    I heard it isn't successful unless you go into labor within 24 hrs, which I did not.

    Thus far, I have lost my mucous plug and had bloody show, pretty crampy but no real labor contractions. Guess we shall see- I have also been told if it doesn't happen within 24 hours it isn't going to.

    Did you have much cervical progress prior to your sweep? (personal question, I understand if you don't want to share this info! ;) )

    No worries I have no shame ;). I had a little mucous here and there, I started getting a TON this morning around 5 am. Very thick and blood-tinged. I was almost 4 cm yesterday and about 70-80% effaced prior to the sweep. You?

    4cm 90% + effaced prior to the sweep. I have also had a lot of mucous today that is blood tinged and thick. I had lots of contractions yesterday, they got to 3 minutes apart but I could still walk/talk through them and they stopped around 9pm. Just lots of pressure today.

    You might be my labor soul mate. Exactly the same- crampy, contractions but not consistent enough that I would go to L&D or intense enough to bring to my knees. Just steam mopped my floors and cleaned I out the fridge in an attempt to get things moving!

    I just got back from walking around Target with a friend. Trying to walk him out. I had sharp stabbing pains in my cervix. Not sure if he is dropping lower? I know I'm in early labor for sure, and also know that this could last a while.
