Hi Ladies,
Here's the situation as it happened. We've been TTC since November 2013, I was temping the first month but I kept forgetting to stick that thing in my mouth every morning (I mean the thermometer, tsk tsk). Anywho, I use the CBE digital advanced opk thingy and I track the data with FF, Ovia and Kindara apps (I like apps and the law of averages), so for the past few months I O'd around CD16, this month DH and I went away for MLK weekend and I didn't pack the CBE OPK, I kind of wanted a break from it, so we were away CD13 through CD15 and BD'd all three days (oh yeah**), on CD14 and CD15 I had what I swear were mittelschmerz pains so I figure 'awesome - there's a bunch of boys in there ready to catch the egg'. When we got home I used the OPK and got a negative and continued to get a negative until this morning on CD24 - there it was.... a flashing smiley. My first thought was WTF I thought I already O'd, what with the o cramps, and my second thought was WTH CD24 that's a little late, my third thought was to change my gym appointment to tomorrow so I could get home sooner and BD. Any thoughts? Honestly I was really hoping that we caught the egg on vacay and that I was in my 2WW window.

Thanks Linds... the sex is planned. It's crazy though, I started looking up CD24+OPK's and ppl are talking about how a +OPK late in the cycle is a flag for a +HPT. I wish my toes would just tern blue when I'm fertile, or something like that... nice and easy
Sometimes you just O on different days. I was usually Od CD 21 before my loss. Like you, I used OPKs once we could try again. I got what looked to be a positive on CD13 and the following day had the cramping and all the signs but not the temp change. As it got later I figured we missed our chance but kept up with the OPKs (I use WONDFO). Low and behold I got a huge positive on CD28. I thought it odd but its true that your body can gear up to O and then just, not. You should really keep temping. That is pretty much the only sure fire way to know. Your temp will spike and stay there. That being said, when I did use the ClearBlue, I got a flashing for a long time late in my cycle. It COULD be that second estrogen surge during your LP it’s picking up on since it is more sensitive to that.
