I'm having a hard time reconciling my O-date with the various testing methods. We aspire to BD every other day and then defitnitly 1dbo and O. Here's what's happened:
Saturday morning: Consistent temp. Saturday evening: Negative faint pink OPK. EWCM all day. BD.
Sunday morning: Consistent temp. Sunday evening: Negative more significant pink OPK test. EWCM all day.
Monday morning: 22/23 MM follicle at ultrasound. Consistent temp. Monday evening: Positive OPK. EWCM all day. BD.
Tuesday morning: Follicle disappeared from ultrasound - OB confirmed O. Consistent temp. Tuesday evening: Positive OPK. Not much EWCM. DH was thrown off schedule since this was earlier than planned against past charts - BD attempted but incomplete.
Wednesday morning: Positive OPK. Consistent temp. Dryish so far. Will still BD.
First question: Shouldn't my temp have gone up by now? If the ultrasound confirms the O that's sort of what it is, right? It had to have happened then between 8am Monday and 8am Tuesday, so how come I'm still getting positive OPK's as well as no temp shift by Wednesday morning?
Bigger issue: This calls into question my last few months of charting and our timing. If my temp doesn't shift for a few days after O then perhaps I've been O-ing earlier than I thought?
Of course we did our best BDing with the information we had, but DH is super stressed now and feels bad he couldn't get down last night. I'm more concerned with understanding the information for next time. This is only my second cycle temping with BBT so I've not got much to compare against. What do you all think?
ETA: I did read the newbie blog and am on FF and I'm just looking for how others would interpret the information so far - mostly since I'm new and still trying to understand my cycle

Re: O-day debate
Agh! Sorry - didn't hit save in my signature box
I should also add I overrode FF with my O-day of yesterday.

I also wouldn't be particularly concerned about still have a positive OPK on Wednesday. I don't have experience with ultrasound monitoring yet though, so maybe someone else can give you more information.

Hi guys - thanks for all the quick responses
I'm not medicated yet, but I have been having ultrasounds every four days since CD10 to chart the basics of what my body is doing. Its mandatory for my insurance before any fertility options can be considered and frankly, as it turns out, kinda cool to see everything on the screen.
I've seen each ultrasound as she's doing it and there was a clear large follicle on Monday and then nothing on Tuesday - so I can visually back up the doctor's assertation that something happened. I think I'm paranoid that there was no egg. I was super excited when I saw that the follicle disappeared, but then confused when I got no temp rise today and a continued OPK+.

Hi Joy2611:
I have had bloodwork panels done twice with nothing wrong - all levels are well within normal with absolutely nothing to speak to. The only issue I'm having (I think) is being 8 months off bcp with only 5 natural cycles that started long.
I also live abroad right now for work and this country's insurance requires different things than the US does (where I'm from). If we're not pregnant off this cycle we can now go to an RE.
Last month I didn't think I O'd until CD24 since I didn't think the temps of CD22-4 were enough of a change to count - though FF felt otherwise and put it at CD21. This is part of why I'm not sure what to count/trust.

Also, my RE was able to confirm O given an "ovulation site" not sure if your dr wouldve seen the same thing.

There is nothing else to share so I'm unfortunatley not hiding any bombs of truth here - I'm probably just impatient (I wish there was a bomb of truth, but no). Though at 36 I also don't want to wait too long before getting assitance so that's where the impatience comes from I guess
I appreciate everyone's response and will try to reel it in and wait it out. I'll move it over to the 2WW and lurk
Thanks again!

I'm 39 and I ovulate every single month that doesn't mean shit! I understand the impatient feeling that comes over the age of 35. Sorry I don't have any advise, I just wanted to wish you luck!
Good luck!
Thanks!
