Organic OJ Recommendations?

Normally, I don't drink a lot of juice but this pregnancy has got me CRAVING some orange juice like nobody's business.

I buy a lot of organic produce/food but I'm having a hard time finding organic OJ that isn't gross. Trader Joe's organic OJ is fortified with calcium so it tastes off to me and has a bad texture. I like my OJ with lots of pulp, but I can live without it if I have to (I know some of you will not agree-- but that's how I roll). I figure if I'm going to blow through a half gallon a week I should try to find it in organic.

Anyone out there have any recommendations for an organic OJ that is actually delicious?

Re: Organic OJ Recommendations?

  • Do you have a produce stand nearby? Ours has fresh oj, not organic but soo good! The stand closest to me doesn't have much for organic though-maybe one near you might.

  • I've picked up a few bottles of the Organic Santa Cruz brand juices. I love them. Orange-mango is my current favorite. I don't know where you live, but I get them at Fred Meyer (same as Kroger stores I believe)

  • I learned that, as with most things, if you want something done to your specifications, it's best to make it yourself. However, a half-gallon a week is a whole lot of oranges. Sorry I can't offer any suggestions, but wish you the best of luck on your search!
  • I haven't found any organic OJ just fresh squeezed at the two grocery stores near my house: publix and winn dixie. Been drinking Indian River. I live in FL so figure it's not too bad..

But thanks for the discussion, looking forward to the responses. Just wish they would include the stores they got the OJ from! Going to try Fresh Market next.
