I'm 37 weeks and thisis the most I've been swollen in my feet!! My poor toes look like cocktail weenies. Has anyone experienced this before? Did your doctors have any concerns with it?
I had some feet swelling and my midwife told me to drink A LOT of water to flush the fluids out. Apparently sitting is what causes the swelling because fluid pools in your feet so walking can also help as well as elevating your feet when you do sit. I've done all those things and have been able to keep myself from constantly having swollen feet.

Awesome!! Thank you!! I am on my feet almost all day due to my job. I try and drink as much water as I can. Maybe I will try taking a water jug with me at work to fill and carry around.
I don't know what kind of work you have, but are you able to get your feet up? Also sodium makes it worse also. We've cut all salt out of our diet to the point where if we go to a fast food place we tell them no salt on our fries. There is already enough in our food already! But defiantly more water intake is always good for you.
If you're on your feet all day, you might also try compression socks/stockings. You can usually find these at a drug store like CVS or Walgreens. They're not the most attractive, but they definitely work.
Thanks ladies!! I'm in nursing so it's hard to just "sit and relax" for a period of time. Hopefully I can start slowing down some. My last day is next Friday so until then I will drink plenty of water, watch my sodium intake and get some stockings.
