Does anyone else have a baby that's not a snuggler? Sometimes it hurts my feelings because I just want to love her and squeeze her but she rarely wants to be held "like a baby" and after she's done nursing she's just done. Please tell me I'm not alone in having a kid that already wants her space.
Re: Snuggles... or lack of
In my head I'm convince that somehow this will make her grow into some independent super woman but I know it's just how she is as a baby and try to accept it.
She doesn't even want to fall asleep on me and gets fussy until I actually put her in her bed and leave the room. As soon as the door shuts she goes to sleep. It's really bittersweet.

You aren't by any chance wearing black pants and a green top today?

You have no idea how sad yet happy I am to hear other moms are going through this. I hate it for all of us that we don't get the snuggles but it's such a relief to know I'm not alone. OJ fell asleep on me for like 5 minutes while she was nursing today and I just sat there even though I really needed to get up and make dinner.
He won't even let me hold/snuffle him when he falls (he's crawling and pulling up now, oh joy of joys) and starts crying. He, like, angry cries or something. It's a little strange.
In general though, he's a very social, smiley, loves people even strangers kind of guy so I don't worry too much about it. (I still blame myself a little because I don't think I was a super snuggler with him when he was first born, but no way to tell if that has anything to do with it.)
