Um...if booze can be bad for a baby (I have a glass here or there, I'm talking everyday/large amounts), and smoking cigarettes is bad for a baby, I don't see why they even needed to investigate this one. Of course, as a drug, it affects the baby.
I actually had someone tell me that its ok to smoke pot and drink up until your 3rd trimester because stuff passes to the baby only in your third trimester. I them asked the person how they think the baby gets it nutrients. The answer: they don't. OMG
Oh good grief... I am starting to think common sense IS a super power...
It totally is!! I mean I'm sure some of y'all have seen some of the posts asking about pot. I'm assuming they did a study like this to prove to the dumb ass women who smoke that its def not ok!!! A baby is such a blessing and I don't understand how people can do stuff to harm them!
@yellowbird219 - Ironically, all the hard core "pot heads" I have known all have way-above-average intelligence. I don't think there is a correlation though. Hahaha.
Don't say that out loud. These dumb dumbs might take it as proof to do another test. Hahaha.
I know a number of very intelligent stoners and many who smoke more sporadically who are also quite intelligent. I also know a number of morons who smoke a lot... Goes both ways.
The only things I ever miss about smoking weed are how much fun I would have cleaning my house or working out...and stoned sex is fun!! I probably won't do it again until my kids are in college though, responsibility wins.
I'm in this boat as well. SO and I were talking about the legalization of it in some states recently, and both agreed that if it were legal here we would smoke once in a while or more likely cook with it if we ever got a weekend away from parenthood. I always loved having sex high and to me it's no better or worse than drinking in moderation.
Not something I would ever consider while pregnant though, and not something I would ever do when I had other responsibilities such as a sleeping child in the other room!
