Yarn items! My baby will have so many!

This baby is going to have lots of yarn blankets. One of my friends has made one already and plans on making another, my aunt's girlfriend is crocheting one, the lady who adopted our foster dog is making one, my BFF's sister is making one, a 94+ year old lady my mom knows  gave me some that were made by her group of ladies, and my parent's church has made a prayer shawl for him (they have been praying about the SUA ever since they heard about it). So that is... 8+ yarn blankets! WOW! I think that is awesome and very generous of all these people to spend so much time creating something like that. That doesn't count any other items like a sweater that on of my friends is making, some hats from my mom, and a surprise item from SIL. I'm impressed!

    Awesome! I love yarn blankies! Ive got a few already, my MIL gave me two that she made but never gave away.. I think she might make another one. My mom is doing a cross stitch but those are cool too :o.. I love homemade things lol

    My husband and I still have our crocheted blankets from when we were babies and they are in great condition(they were packed away). We have other ones that were made from other people for this baby,too. We're stocking up, I guess!

    I'm planning on making a couple myself for various locations in the house. DD will have her crib, 2 bassinets and a PNP. I figure she'll need blankets for each right? I better get started.

    Where my grandmother was from (she was a Romanian gypsy), it's very bad luck for a baby not to be given a handmade gift, particularly from a non-family member. So you will have a very lucky baby! I knit and crochet, and really handmade gifts are my favorite. Love giving them and love getting them!

    That's great! My mom has already made two blankets that I love. She's also making dresses and shoes and hats. I love that she cares so much :x

    They are personally NMS and I really can't see myself ever buying one( or making bc I can't) but my boy already has tons. I feel like homemade blankets of any kind are made with thought and love and so I will accept, use, and cherish them all! My sister did make me a scarf out of some pretty awesome yarn and said she is making lo a blanket out of it so it may get stolen!! I asked her to make it bigger just in case he wants to share with his momma!! Lol

    I am working on one and I made on for DS and all of my nephews. There are all still in good shape and I love that they are so soft. I always told the boys that's your blanket and it was made with love now them tell me. So cute.
