Sick day

I finally caved and went to the dr. Strep throat for me. First time ever in 40 years. I feel like I swallowed razor blades.

 OB told me amoxicillin would be safe for baby. I hate to take anything, but I am miserable. DH dropped V off at daycare (and yes, I feel guilty about that too since I'm home). I'm curled up in bed hoping to sleep.

    So sorry!  I used to get strep every year growing up.  It'll really take it's toll on you.  Take it easy and don't feel too bad about bringing V to day care.

    don't feel bad.  you need this day for you, so you can get better.  Hope you can get some rest and some relief!

    I know what you mean! LO and I had it in dec and it was crazy painful!! My throat actual was bleeding at the dr office. I got two shots in the butt! No fun! Hope you get to feeling better quickly! Hope your LO doesn't catch anything also!

    Thanks all. A day in bed did me good. I am still not feeling great, but I am sure a few more doses of the amoxicillin will do it. Normally I take a z-pack and after those first two pills I am 100 times better. But, with baby on board, can't do z-pack so I guess this will just move slower.

    I opted not to push myself and took another day off tomorrow. while I am nervous about using days I may need later this year and next with new baby, I have to take care of me right now. Besides, not sure if it is the antibiotic or just morning sickness, but the nausea and bathroom runs are ridiculous! YUCK!

    @kmartinrvt13 Vincent is much better, thanks! Went back to daycare on Monday. We'll see how long this "healthy streak" lasts us. I'm assuming the MOTN wakes now are just bc he is used to being in bed with us....or teething...or wonder week? In any case, hope he goes back to sleeping better soon!
