Another baby on tummy sleep question

My LO has started rolling on his tummy in his sleep. Everytime this happens (about every 30 minutes last night) he starts crying until I come and turn him over. He can rollover from front to back on his own but he just doesn't. I finally moved him to his rock and play. I'm just wondering what others have done in this situation.

I feel like this has possibly been discussed before but I can't seem to find it. If it has could someone please lead me to that post! TIA

Re: Another baby on tummy sleep question

  • This may be unpopular but I just leave her be and she is used to it now. She might fuss for a minute or two but just goes back to sleep on het tummy. The first time I rolled her back she just cried more bc I think I woke her up.

  • DS does the same thing and we let him fuss. If he's clearly unhappy or crying we go in but it's normally just him getting himself comfortable on his belly.

  • I used the merlin sleepsuit and that stopped it for about 2 months. Then once he was able to roll over in the sleepsuit he seemed to like sleeping on his tummy.

    quote fail.. what @BelhurstBride said.
  • Our little one started doing the same thing about 2 weeks ago. She's figured out how to lay on her tummy and turn her head to the side so she can breathe. . . But I still check on her ALL the time!
