So I am at a crossroads. I knew IVF was on the horizon and I have been sitting on the fence for over a year. I think DH and I will make the final decision soon but I am leaning towards trying one round.

The reasons for doing it would be that its likely my remaining tube is damage and has some scar tissue and after 3 clomid rounds its not likely to work if it hasn't yet,I am getting older, our insurance could change soon and I got 60% chance of success.

If we do not pursue it, our IF treatment road will end. We can keep trying on our own but its taking an emotional toll and we may just stop.

The protocol is low dose Follitism, trigger with lupron. ER/ET and maybe progesterone in TWW.

I am going to get a second op next week. Then we'll decide.

I liked this meeting with my RE, I felt like he was being very kind and yet straight with me about my options. He flat out said its my choice but medically speaking in my case, IVF is a no brainer.

Never thought we'd be here but none of us did. Thanks for listening ladies

Huge ((hugs)). It took me a few weeks of knowing ivf was our next plan of action before I finally embraced it, and now I'm pumped. Hopefully mulling it over with your DH will get you to a place you are 100% comfortable with. MH had to keep reminding me that in the long run we will feel better knowing we tried everything, regardless of the outcome.

That sounds like a plan. IVF looks like the next step and it sounds like you have some insurance coverage for it.

Good luck! 60% chance sounds good to me (I was given 45% with our fresh cycle), and insurance coverage. That's awesome.

I would say go for it! Come to the dark side! We have cookies!!! Team science baby!!! There are many of us who will help answer any questions and listen to hormone induced rants bc-we get it- they make us crazy too! Glad you like your RE! Sounds like your odds are high- BUT! Just as (one of the many) voices of experience- are there programs through RE that would include embryo storage? I know you are on clomid and mentioned tube issue, but egg retrieval could still be good especially if they've given you a good chance like that! If I'm off base at all please know I'm just excited at your options and chances and good RE! Totally rooting for you!

I'm glad you had a good meeting, got lots of information and most of all like your RE!! I know these appointments can be anti-climactic because you anticipate/wait for so long to have the meeting...then you leave with info that you already had been thinking about for awhile...and still have big decisions to make! Good luck with your second opinion and making your decision!
