We have always had an issue with vegetables ever since we got off purees. We always offer them but never really had success with them. Pouches he will eat. A darn carrot he will naw on but not actually eat
Also been having some issues with meats like steak and chicken unless its in a certain flavor.
Other than that he loved food. Will never say no to pasta or sausage! Loves fruits. And is a TOTAL Water Boy!
DD1 is particular about veggies. She will not eat beans. She'll take one or two tiny bites of broccoli. But she goes to town on some cooked carrots, and she'll eat a mini side salad with her dinner.
Meat is really hit or miss. She eats breaded chicken, and she will eat pieces of chicken mixed in with pasta and sauce (it's not hidden, she'll actually request more chicken), but if I just serve chicken breast, she won't eat it. I've tried preparing it many ways, I think maybe it's the texture? I usually have some Trader Joes turkey meatballs on standby, she loves those things.
BUT...I have hope of reintroducing some of the foods she tends to avoid eating. DD2 is eating table food now, and DD1 has started asking for foods that DD2 is trying.
DS1 is driving me nuts with food. He won't touch a veggie and only likes fruit here and there. He loves tacos with black beans and pasta with meat sauce though. He'll eat crackers all day if I would let him. He's also a donut fan....a big fan. We drive by dunkin donuts and he's scream, "we're here"
Kind of like Kimbus over here. She will ask for a 2nd and even 3rd serving one day, then turn her nose up on the very same dish the following week. Although generally speaking, she really is a good eater.
