1st u/s and EDD!

Went in for our first ultrasound today.  I'm about 6 weeks and my doctor generally doesn't do an u/s this soon, but wanted to make sure everything was in the right place.  I saw the yolk sac, fetal pole and a little flicker of a heartbeat.  If I go by my LMP, my due date would be 9/19, but from his measurements it looks like 9/22.

I'm going back next week so that we can get a better picture and (hopefully!) I can actually hear the heartbeat.

    Congratulations! Hopefully that put's your mind at ease!

    My first u/s is in an hour and I can't help but stare at the clock!!!

    Wooo!  I had mine just this morning and things were right on target.   I was calculating 6w6d and baby measured 7w exactly.  Starting to feel even more real than this MS and crazy boobs!

    Congrats!

       Me: IR-PCOS, elevated DHEAs, low progesterone, weak ovulation  DH: low volume, low T
    SHG 5/10/13: both tubes blocked; HSG 6/28 = Left tube cleared! Right blocked.
    BFP#1 7/20/13 EDD 3/30/14, m/c 8/19/13, D&E 8/21/13, Chromosomal results = normal, female
    Lap & hysteroscopy scheduled for 10/31, right tube cleared, no endo found! ...Happy Halloween!
    Cycle 14: Clomid (50)+ IUI = BFP! EDD 9/16/14~ Rowan Elizabeth born sleeping at 17w4d on 4/12/14 due to IC.
    ~There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world~
    New RE June 2014. RPL b/w - negative. SIS looking for uterine/cervical abnormalities & Asherman's 6/10/14 - ALL CLEAR!  
    Cycle 16: Natural IUI = CP, Cycle 17: Femara (2.5) + IUI = BFN, Cycle 18 Femara (5) + IUI = BFFN, Cycle 19: Break
    Cycle 20: Clomid (50)+ IUI = BFP EDD 6/20, transvaginal cerclage 12/19, Carson Quinn born sleeping at 16w3d on 1/6/15 due to IC
    Phone consult with Dr. Haney (Univ of Chicago) for transabdominal cercalge scheduled for 2/9/15.

    @EscoMama - did you hear the heartbeat?  That's the only thing that bummed me out.  I saw it, but didn't get to hear it.   

    I will count my blessings.  I'm certainly not going to complain!

    Do they all have sound capabilities do you know? Or do you only hear hearbeat on some of them?

    I didn't get to hear it.  They didn't even mention that option.  We just saw it and she showed the sound waves across the bottom which my DH ate up since he does sound engineering and I bet he nearly heard it in his head :-)

    @drae86 - I'm not sure.  I know with my DD I heard the heartbeat at 7 weeks.  I just think 6 weeks is a little early.  Let me know what happens at your appt!

    Me 29 DH 30 Unexplained IF TTC since wedding May 2012. IUI #1 11/5/13-BFN.  IUI #2 12/5/13-BFN. IUI #3-12/30/14. All three with Femara CD 3-7 and Ovidrel trigger. +HPT 1/13/14 First +ever!!! Beta #1 195 Beta #2 1/15-533. Ultrasound on 2/4 showed one bean. EDD 9/22/14. Team Green turned Team Blue-Baby Conner arrived on 9/19/14.

    Isn't it so crazy?!? I had my first one today too and it made it seem much more real. My DH keeps asking what it feels like to be pregnant, and mostly it just feels like a really long stomach flu, but seeing the little heartbeat made the m/s totally worth it.
