Eddie Bauer Crib?

Does anyone have experience with Eddie Bauer cribs? Target has one on sale for $223, along with the matching dresser for $224. It seems like a great deal, but there aren't any reviews on the website and I can't seem to find any reviews on any other websites.

Thanks!

Re: Eddie Bauer Crib?

  • I just looked at these in my target, they were set up and the quality was impressive. Real wood and the dresser drawers were on rollers and easy to open. I was going to buy a set from a furniture store but I saw this in store and think I'm going to buy this instead.

  • We are looking at the same crib but in white.  It looked like really good quality when we looked at it in Target.  No actual review though.

  • Try googling them. Maybe there are reviews on another site...possibly Amazon...and you might find it cheaper.
  • I don't have the Eddie Bauer crib, but I do have the Eddie Bauer high chair and I really like it. Well made and very sturdy:-)

  • Yeah, unfortunately no reviews on any other website that I was able to find.

I agree that it looks like excellent quality. The matching dresser has a review on Target's website that states the quality is excellent, made of real wood, etc. so I imagine the crib is similar. Plus, right now the crib comes with a free Sealy mattress worth $110, so I am having a really hard time finding a reason to NOT purchase.

Ha! This was me last week (I actually posted about this same crib on another board and got few answers.)

Then we fell in love with a different crib at BRU on Sunday -- of course, it's $100 more and no mattress bundle.

    Sigh.

Did you get positive feedback about the set? There are definitely others at BRU that I am eyeing but of course, they are all more expensive. The set I love at BRU is $1,600 total so I'm trying really hard to talk myself out of that one and get this deal since the crib has a similar look to the baby cache we were looking at.

  • I didn't get any specific info on the Bauer crib -- it looks like it must be a new model or something.

  • Usually Eddie Bauer baby stuff is the name stamped onto another brand so it costs more money. I'd try to find the original brand/model for it.
It was actually far less expensive than most other models that we liked...we went ahead and ordered it, and it ended up being $800 for a crib, two dressers and a free crib mattress thrown in with the deal. I think this deal was worth it, but I agree, that most of the time the name brand stuff is a waste of money!

  • I went to target after seeing this post yesterday and checked it out.  It seemed like good quality to me, compared to some other items on display at Target or BRU.  Both pieces seemed very solid...

I ended up buying the set as well, it was cheaper than the other ones I had my eye on - thanks for the heads up, @kellyjayne
